Submitting a Walmart application can be an easy process but getting hired quickly can be difficult unless you approach the hiring process in a certain professional manner.

You would be surprised at how many people, especially younger ones, waltz into a WM dressed in flip flops and shorts while asking for an application. What a great first impression they must make! The first person you just may meet could be the manager, and there you are, with ten earrings along the top of your ear lobes and sunglasses dangling on the top of your head.

If you’re serious about getting hired fast after submitting your walmart job application, play the part of a professional or up and coming professional regardless of your experience or qualifications.

For example, if you are interested in a ground floor opportunity as an associate, dress conservatively in neatly-pressed slacks and a shirt or blouse, clean and shine your shoes, and only then, walk right into the store and ask where the human resources department is located.

With all the job opportunities Wal Mart has to offer you will already have a great chance at getting hired. However, there are no guarantees and first impressions go a long way, so by presenting yourself in a positive light, you will have just given yourself a distinct advantage over the average applicant.

The human resources department will most likely direct you to the store kiosk to fill out an application and you will be on the way to a successful hiring experience!

Apply at Wal Mart, and when you get the call back, once again dress appropriately and once you’re hired, don’t thank me, thank yourself – you did it!

Of course, there are walmart pharmacist jobs available to those with experience as well, and the job openings include three common positions, pharmacy manager, assistant pharmacy manager, and staff pharmacist.

Wal Mart pharmacies have been around since 1978 and currently have over 4,000 pharmacies with countless loyal customers.

WM offers their future workers, through internships, formal training using the latest technological advances.

Hundreds of students every year participate in the Walmart pharmacist and management development programs and are placed in their program according to their level.

For example, a 1st year student working as an intern is exposed to the basics of how WM operates as well as being introduced to their role as pharmacy technicians.

During the 2nd year, they continue their development as they see firsthand how a pharmacy operates, how to provide the absolute best customer service, and merchandising.

In their 3rd year, the training turns to management skills and the law and regulations regarding the operation of a pharmacy.

The 4th year students are exposed to the heart of management so they can have the best chance to develop their Walmart company and leadership skills.

WM values all their employees and they recognise the fact that there is a high demand for qualified pharmacists around the globe.

If you are in the pharmacy job field, don’t hesitate to fill out a Walmart application; you’ll be in luck like virtually no other position.

As a matter of fact, there are quite a few restrictions if you’re a teenager looking to work here but the good news is once you turn 18, you are free to work where you want and however many hours you desire!

Teenagers under 18 can perform part-time work when school is in session as long as the work is not deemed hazardous, which means if you are a teen you can probably work at most any restaurant or retail job part-time. You can’t work full-time because by federal law, you are attending school and you are a minor

However, on Saturdays and Sundays, minors are allowed to work 8 hour shifts. Obviously, the whole purpose of these laws is to allow adequate time for childrens’ studies.

Before submitting an application for Wal Mart, it’s always best to consult with your career counselor at your high school to find out what the state laws are regarding employment for minors; in some states, you are required to obtain “working papers” from your state to be allowed to work.

It’s also good to know when you apply at Walmart that if you’re under 18, you will only be allowed to work until 10:00PM.

To have the best chance at getting hired, make sure you fill in your online Walmart applications with as many different positions as possible such as cashier, stocker, etc. Also, put in your application as many “available shifts” as possible.

If you’ve been thinking about becoming a Walmart employee, here’s your chance.

The store will require 450 workers of which many positions have been filled; but there is still time to get your applications in right now!

According to official statistics, the Cincinnati area jobless rate is hovering around 10% and continues to rise. This past summer, approximately 800 jobs were filled at the Cincinnati Premium Outlets stores and those employees were [picked from a pool of over 3400 job applicants.

On the other side of the country, in Fargo, ND, Walmart careers are going to fit the bill for over 300 workers at a store opening up, in the fall of 2009, hopefully by late October.

A temporary hiring center has been set up by Walmart and they started accepting applications on 09-03-09.

At the end of September, merchandise will already start arriving at the new store for shelf stocking, so get your applications in now while you can.

Many pharmacists and technicians dream of working one of the Walmart pharmacy jobs available and a chance at joining a reputable company with excellent benefits and above average retail store compensation, making it one of the first choices for people looking to work in this field.

Walmart encourages everyone to apply, including people with high credentials who have recently lost their jobs due to the current economy.

Folks are having a tough time finding the job of their choice these days, and with no guarantee of a soured economy turning itself around for the better any time soon, there is no time like the present to apply at Wal Mart. You can visit one of the Wal Mart locations and apply at the store’s kiosk or complete one in the comfort of your own home.

This retail conglomerate receives hundreds of applications daily from people hoping to become Walmart employees as they try to fill over 20,000 positions at more than 150 new stores in 2009. This means you have a much better chance to get hired if you research the position you would like to fill and submit an online job application as soon as possible.

Jeremiah Gooding, who works as an assistant manager in Los Angeles, CA, offers these words, “When I graduated high school in 2003 I told my dad I wanted to put off college ’cause I wanted to start my own landscaping business. My dad was shocked but he supported me by helping with all the business details and part of the funds. When my business failed two years later, I started to take college credits, and on the advice of a friend, I applied for a part-time job at Walmart so I wouldn’t overburden my parents anymore. It took me three and a half years to get this promotion (to ass’t. manager). Although I put college on hold for now, I’m making a great living, and I’ll soon resume my studies so I can keep advancing right here.”

Gooding’s story is a typical one for people putting in the necessary effort and hard work in order to be successful within this company. When applying, make sure you research their many job opportunities. Wal mart has something for everyone and offers a chance to grow within the company like no other retailer.

While you’re filling out a Walmart application you’ll probably be thinking about the eventual job interview that follows, so a great idea would be to prepare yourself for what’s about to come. By being prepared with a basic idea of how to present yourself and interact with the interviewer, your anxiety level will lessen and you’ll put yourself in a much better position to land the job.

Follow these steps for a successful interview after you apply at Wal Mart:

1. Dress appropriately by removing excessive or distasteful jewelry (by conservative standards) such as excessive earrings or other body piercings. A sure way to fail your job interview is to look out of the ordinary. The main goal during an interview is to stand out above the rest with your personality, not your arm tattoos or nose rings!

Wear conservative, clean, neatly-pressed clothing. Remember, the majority of people who hire and fire like to see a high degree of normalcy in the way applicants dress and carry themselves.

2. Make absolutely certain you arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled interview. If you show up earlier, don’t enter just yet; you don’t want to appear overly anxious or desperate. If you show up 10 minutes late, start praying!

3. You wouldn’t believe how many people submit Walmart online job applications, get the call back, and ruin their interview when they allow their cell phones to ring incessantly, interrupting the interviewer’s precious time! This is not only inappropriate; it shows a lack of respect.

If I were the interviewer the first thing that would come to mind would be, “I can’t hire this person, he or she’s going to spend all her time on the phone while at work.”

Turn the cell phones off while interviewing.

4. Let the interviewer talk and finish their questions before you answer; never interrupt an interviewer in mid-sentence. Think about the question before you answer, and paint yourself in a positive light with sincere words.

5. Never talk negatively about your former employer or any other employee; doing so will introduce negativity into the picture and you’ll leave them wondering if you are the problem.

6. Ask questions during the interview so you don’t appear to be a “Know-It-All,” and to appear as if you are interested in the job.

7. The greatest tip to gain an advantage over other applicants after submitting a Walmart job application is to be yourself. It’s perfectly alright to show a sense of humor, just don’t overdo it with the jokes! Show the interviewer you have a good personality, and you’ll have a leg up on more than half the other applicants (this is because people tend to get nervous and clam up during interviews!).

Submitting a Walmart application and going through the hiring process doesn’t have to be so difficult and nerve-wracking. If you prepare yourself, you’ll be far less nervous and you’ll get through the interview with flying colors.

If you haven’t been living under a rock you know the world has been in a serious financial crisis, minimizing the chances of getting hired to a decent job out of high school or college. Now, job applications at Walmart are almost a precious commodity, and rightly so. The truth is, these positions have always been a great choice to start a fresh career and flourish with its career advancement possibilities.

Sometimes, teenagers fore-go college for the work force either temporarily or permanently. Every parent would like to have their children go off to college, but the fact remains only 35-45 percent of college grads go on immediately to college. This leaves the other 55% or so percent to fend for themselves in the employment market; enter a job application for Walmart.

The good news is this retail chain has more high school graduate success stories than you can shake a stick at. A great example is 27 year Josh Baudin, of Tampa, FL, who started out stocking shelves as an associate in 2000 after high school and is currently a store manager raking in more than $83,000 a year, or Elvin Grayson out of Nashville, TN, who received a GED and also began as an associate cashier and left the company to start his own business, building a million dollar empire using many of the customer service techniques he learned at Walmart.

These are but a few real-life examples that prove not attending college right away is not the end of the world. It still makes far more sense to try to get at least a bachelor’s degree; you’ll generally have a much more lucrative career no matter where you go. However, if you are not the college type or if you simply want to explore other options rather than attending college right after high school, consider a Walmart application and set career goals to include college when you’re good and ready!

For many of you who are out of work because you’ve been laid off an easy cop out is to convince yourself there are not that many jobs available during these tough times. I beg to differ; a Walmart application just might be what you need to turn your finances around fairly quickly, if you play your cards right.

I know – when I try to convince few laid-off friends and family members to apply at Wal Mart they answer all the time, “I don’t want to work for peanuts when I can do so much better.” You can? In the meantime your unemployment checks will be running out soon and you haven’t mapped a plan out for your future, hoping a great job will fall in your lap!

As an example, knowing what I know now, here’s a great, realistic plan for success for a high school graduate jumping into the workforce or anyone else making a career change:

1. I would submit a Walmart job application for an associates job with great enthusiasm.

2. Once hired, I would try to get along with my co-workers and peers, and put great customer service on the very top of my list.

3. I would express to my superiors a sincere desire to advance within the company and I would make sure my excellent performance on the job reflected my intentions. This would also be a great time to inquire about training programs to further my skills within the company.

4. I would show leadership skills tactfully without stepping on the toes of my peers, and prove I had the necessary frame of mind and talent to effectively lead during trying times.

5. Once I landed an assistant manager position, I would first and foremost continue to encourage other people to fill out job applications at Walmart and put my effort into overdrive to be considered for a store manager position in due time and continue to advance my career with zest through their training program.

What does this plan really say?

If you really want something good and worthwhile to happen, you need to map out a plan for success, and the only person who can do it is you!
